Bethenny Frankel pauses divorce podcast after mother’s death, ‘traumatic events’

Bethenny Frankel has paused her divorce podcast, “Just B Divorced,” following the recent death of her mother, Bernadette Birk, from lung cancer.

The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star announced on social media she would also be removing certain episodes from streaming.

“I have chosen to temporarily remove my divorce podcast as a result of an overwhelming response and an influx of messages that have converged with the most significant loss of my life,” Frankel said in a statement.

“It is impossible for me to give and process both of these traumatic events at the same time.”

Frankel, 53, explained that reactions to “this triggering topic” have “confirmed how important this conversation is,” so she’s vowed to “continue this dialogue” in the coming weeks to help people navigate their divorces.

“I love you all and am so grateful to you for supporting me in both areas,” Frankel ended.

Frankel’s rep confirms to Page Six that she’ll continue recording “Just B With Bethenny Frankel” and “Rants With Bethenny Frankel.”

It appears that the former reality star has faced skepticism in response to her announcement, as she followed up with an Instagram Story stating that there has been “no backlash” and insisted the divorce podcast “WILL” continue.

Frankel’s “Just B Divorced” podcast made headlines numerous times for her candid approach to talking about her ex-husband Jason Hoppy.

In one episode, Frankel admitted she was “relieved” to have suffered a miscarriage while married to him and went so far as to say she had to “force” herself to have sex with him.

“I used to force myself, gag myself through doing it… it is torture,” she said.

The exes tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed their daughter Bryn just a few months later. The former couple battled it out in court for nearly a decade over finances and custody over their daughter.

The court eventually awarded Frankel full legal custody and primary custody of Bryn.
