ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Texas Department of Public Safety recently seized approximately 37 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop near Odessa on Tuesday.

According to a report by DPS, on Tuesday, April 11, Troopers with the Criminal Investigation Division and Texas Highway Patrol conducted a joint investigation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Troopers were able to seize about 37 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop near Odessa during this investigation. DPS said this is an example of the collaborative efforts by law enforcement to combat the trafficking of controlled substances in West Texas.
