IF you thought Waitrose was expensive, it’s time to think again.

And particularly if you’re a beauty fan or skincare lover, prepare to be open-mouthed.

A woman from the UK, who calls herself the ‘Yellow Label Queen’, has revealed that she popped into her local Waitrose to get some milk and strawberries, and was stunned to spot a huge selection of cosmetics that had been reduced.

So if you’re a beauty lover and are on a tight budget, you’ve come to the right place.

With the cost-of-living crisis making our purses feel tighter than ever before, it’s no surprise that Celina Malarska was thrilled at the cut-price beauty buys in Waitrose.

Impressed with her mega haul of goodies, the savvy shopper took to social media to alert others.

Posting on Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls, a private Facebook group with 172,300 members, Celina shared a snap of her haul and penned: “Went to get some milk and strawberries.”

Luckily for Celina, she managed to get her hands on a range of skincare items from Waitrose’s Pure collection.

She nabbed day creams that had been slashed down to £1.29, as well as cleansing milks for £1.49 and micellar water for just 89p. 

Also from the Waitrose Pure range, Celina got her hands on hand creams for 89p, body lotion for £1.59 and face wash for 89p.

She also got her hands on a Garnier micellar water that had been slashed, as well as an e45 primrose oil body lotion that was reduced to £2.79. 

If that wasn’t enough, the skincare lover was thrilled to find a large three pack of cosmetic pads, which had been slashed to just £1.29.

As well as this, she also stocked up on Nip + Fab salicylic fix face masks, which were slashed to only 39p each (yes, you heard that correctly). 

Celina also found Nivea items that had been reduced too, and managed to nab a refreshing face wash for £1.79, as well as a posh Super Facilist skin perfecting primer for £2.29. 

But the items that left Celina jumping for joy were in fact from the Burt’s Bees brand. 

Celina stocked up on four Burt’s Bees pomegranate lip balms, which were just £1.29 thanks to their yellow stickers.

And not only that, but she also swiped five of the Burt’s Bees tinned lip balms, which had been slashed to just 89p each.

To this, Celina added: “Lip balms [are the] best in the world - 89p.” 

Celina later explained: “They started reducing them as I popped in for milk and strawberries.

“They also have some serums and fancy creams. 

“My friends laugh at me saying that I am the yellow label Queen. I have to admit, yes I am.” 

'GREAT BARGAINS'

Celina shared her post just 12 hours ago, but it has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed over 200 likes. 

Social media users were stunned at Celina’s bargain buys and many were keen to express this in the comments.

“I rarely find cosmetics on discount .. this is too good.”

Another added: “Great bargains.”

Whilst another bargain hunter chimed in: “Good haul, well done.” 

At the same time, someone else jokingly asked: “Did you forget the milk and strawberries?! Sort of thing I would do.”
