Tesla driver blasted as ‘smug’ as hidden message in number plate is spotted on electric car
The driver got a mixed reaction from those who spotted the message
A TESLA driver has been blasted as "smug" as a hidden message on an electric car's number plate has been spotted.
The Model S was spotted in Adelaide, South Australia, stopped at lights - with one shocked motorist snapping a picture and sharing it on Facebook.

The number plate said "RIP ICE", with the driver saying it was "quite appropriate rego for an EV".
ICE stands for 'Internal Combustion Engine', the technical name for the kind of motor used in most of the worlds cars, lorries, and motorbikes.
The Daily Mail Australia reported that commenters on the post were split about whether they thought it was a good number plate or not.
One fan wrote on the post: "'Sales are decreasing for ICE vehicles which will make them RIP."

Another posted: "'Wow!!! That is the best number plate. Love it."
But some didn't like the number plate as much and thought it was "lame".
While a third said: "'Yeah, I prefer not to poke the bear. Too many idiots out there that hate EVs. Sadly these plates just guarantee that your car will get keyed."
Another posted: "I hate those stupid plates. I drive an EV but don’t need to drive around making smug statements. Lame."

Bosses at Dacia have said the new car's price point will "rewrite the EV rulebook."
