‘Most satisfying revenge story’ people cheer after woman gets expensive payback on cheating man hours before holiday

But do you think she went too far?

A WOMAN has been hailed for getting the "best revenge ever" after finding out her ex had been cheating on her.

The gutted girlfriend had been dumped just weeks before a five-star romantic holiday to Lanzarote, which cost the couple £2,500.

It was only after she received a letter from TUI about a name change confirmation for the holiday that she realised she had been betrayed as well as ditched.

Writing in to the Girls Overheard podcast, her friend explained they then plotted the ultimate payback.

Podcast host Eilidh Wells was tasked with reading out the anonymous message on the show.

It read: "Last year my friend’s boyfriend broke up with her out the blue over the phone when they lived together.

"He was in the military so was away at the time and he’d often work away.

"She found this [the break up] really odd and had no prior warning that he wasn’t happy, but she accepted what he wanted and was amicable."

She added: "Two weeks after they broke up, he said he would pay her money back to her and take his mum.

"She thought nothing of it. He was quite shy and reserved, and he really wasn’t the type of guy that you’d suspect anything bad from.

"A couple of days after this she gets a letter through the door from TUI with details of the name change.

"The name on the name change wasn’t his mum. Instead it was a girl’s name that she didn’t recognise."

It turned out that the woman's "shy and reserved" beau had set up a secret Tinder account and had been having an affair for months.

To get revenge, she logged onto the holiday using his details and cancelled it just a day before the holiday - and it was non-refundable.

Her pal added: "At the time he was driving this girl up from the south of England to Scotland to depart from Glasgow with her the next day."

Sharing three clips discussing the incident, the Girls Overheard page asked: "Did she go too far?"

The videos have gone viral, racking up more than 100,000 views.

And social media users have insisted the scorned woman "didn't go far enough", but applauded her efforts.

"It feels like all girls are evil-laughing in unison as we watch this", said one.

Meanwhile a third added: "I would have changed the name on the holiday to my friend's name and bloody waved to them from the plane."
