EasyJet pilots offered staggering £35k pay rise but are set to reject it ‘as they know there’s more money on the table’

The proposed pay hike makes easyJet pilots richer than anyone signing up to fly in a British Airways cockpit today

EASYJET pilots are being offered a pay deal which would boost their wages to £200,000 per year.

But The Sun understands that they will vote against the offer to hike salaries by £35,000 — to £198,588 — in 2025.

The offer, to captains of ten years, is part of a widespread wages deal negotiated by their union.

Senior first officers would see their £93,001 salary rise to £112,880 in April 2025, a £19,879 annual hike.

And first officers on £62,149 would get £75,446, a boost of £13,297.

But despite the offer, which Balpa leaders recommend members accept, it is set to be rejected.

EasyJet said they had “reached agreement on a new competitive pay deal for pilots”.

The £200K pay day makes easyJet pilots richer than anyone signing up to fly in a British Airways cockpit today.

Only BA Captains who have flown with the airline for 30 years can expect to earn more, with sector pay, pension, loyalty bonus, and performance pay thrown in.
