Appearing on Morning Live, Jenny told Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton how the conman entered her flat.

She explained: "It was an ordinary morning and I had a ring on the doorbell, let someone into my block of flats.

"He knocked on the door and he told me the building manager was on his way, there'd been a leak, it was to do with the new kitchen - which we did just have a new kitchen fitted, the landlord just put that in."

Jenny, who is most known as her alter ego 'The Vixen', went on to say how the man said he just needed to take pictures of the apparent leak.

She said she had questioned the situation "a little bit" but because they had "so many people in and out" over the kitchen installation she let the man in.

"Unfortunately he had some bad intentions, he ended up getting into my bedroom with the door closed and when he left I'd realised he had taken my mobile phone and three pieces of jewellery that had been given to me by my parents for special occasions."

The professional quizzer said she noticed straight away what had happened as she went to ring her landlord to check he was expecting someone.

Jenny reported the theft to the police but has hit out at their response and support so far.

She said: "Unfortunately all I've had back from them is an automated email saying that they're considering whether they're going to investigate or not.

"I've told them that there are probably fingerprints because he moved furniture, there's lots of CCTV on my street and I know exactly where he went because I had the phone on tracker.

The Chase viewers boycott show as they call out big problem with 'pointless' episode and sink claws into ITV

"What I really wanted was a police officer or someone from the local force to call me and make sure I was ok because it's a very scary thing, I was feeling very vulnerable."

Morning Live airs weekdays at 9:30am on BBC One and iPlayer.
