She could hardly believe her luck when she scored a great kitchen find for only $20.

A similar model bought new by the same maker is over $220.

But her amazing discovery pained people, saying they were "insane with jealousy."

This happy shopper shared her thrift find on Reddit with a picture of her bargain purchase.

“Just found this beauty at a yard sale for $20," she said in her post.

There was a huge response from Redditors with over 7,000 looking in and many commenting.

The delighted shopper's find was a Smeg two-slice toaster in a mint green.

It was a classic retro-inspired look synonymous with the brand and has seen it attract a huge fan base.

A whole kitchen can be outfitted with Smeg products, including fridges and freezers, cookers, small appliances, dishwashers, and cookware.

But it has also been the subject of some ridicule, most famously in the popular children's film series, Toy Story.

Keen-eyed viewers may have noticed a fridge in one of the films was a Smug and not a Smeg.

Nonetheless, its popularity remains and this Redditor was not put off.

"I debated with myself about this but just couldn’t pass it up," she said in her post.

I transformed my tired council house kitchen for just £19 - it only took me a day, I used bargain buys from B&M and B&Q

Many commenters on her post congratulated her on her bargain.

“Wow, I’m insane with jealousy," said one person.

“Jackpot," was the reaction of another.

Others had a suggestion for her.

“Resell it for a $100. It’s a valuable brand," wrote one Redditor.

“Did you make a deal with the devil? This is a crazy lucky find,” figured another person.

“I paid $220 for that last year. Love it. Worth it. What a steal," was the reaction of a third person.

But our yard sale shopper is not the only person to hit preloved kitchen gold. Others have found success too.

One lucky woman said she made the thrift score of the century with her kitchen find.

She spent only $4.21 and could barely believe her thrift find of the highly-covetable Le Creuset Dutch Oven and heart-shaped red Cocotte sat in their possession.

Individual items from this brand can cost hundreds of dollars.

It was, said commenters to her post, utter "madness."
