Sunday night's instalment of the programme saw escape artist called Danny ZZZZ try and impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Bruno Toniolo and Alesha Dixon with his act.

The stuntman was handcuffed in a wooden box above the stage and had one minute to escape when it was set on fire.

But presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were left lost for words as they watched on - worrying it hadn't gone to plan.

Ant asked: "That lit quickly didn't it? Did it mean to go like that?"

"I thought you said he had a minute," Dec chimed in shortly after.

The judges started to panic.

Bruno asked if Danny ZZZZ was alright, while Alesha said: "Is something going wrong guys?"

Danny managed to get himself out of the box and told the judges that it wasn't meant to turn out like that.

The stuntman confessed: "I was supposed to get out the front, didn't quite work that way!"

A confused Simon asked if it was meant to happen, to which he added: "It wasn't supposed to catch on fire yet!"

Jack Rhodes leaves BGT judges gobsmacked as he makes return to the show

Other fans are convinced that they've worked out how one of the show's magician left the judges speechless with a card trick.

Jack Rhodes, 27, made a surprise comeback yesterday, after appearing in the competition as The Phantom back in 2022.

He returned as himself and did an impressive card trick that got him four yesses.

Others shared that they thought opera singer Innocent Masuku should have been given the Golden Buzzer after his rendition of Caruso by Lucio Dalla.
