Ubank, Beyond Bank and Bank Australia app and online banking problems resolved after widespread outage

Multiple online banking platforms including Ubank, Beyond Bank and Bank Australia are facing outages.

Outages affecting online banking platforms including ubank, Beyond Bank and Bank Australia have now been resolved, after customers were unable to send and receive payments for several hours on Thursday afternoon.

The banks’ apps and online services were down well into the evening, with the outage impacting payment service Osko.

Earlier on Thursday, ubank told 7NEWS.com.au it had identified an issue with a third-party vendor and was working to resolve the issue.

Beyond Bank said it was experiencing “intermittent problems” with Osko payments, internet banking and its app, while Bank Australia also notified its customers about the problem.

By about 9pm on Thursday, the issue had been resolved for all three banks.

“Our systems are being restored and our customers can now use their app and online banking, including being able to send and receive OSKO payments,” ubank said.

“Our teams are continuing to monitor this closely.”

Beyond Bank and Bank Australia confirmed via X, formerly Twitter, that the use of their apps and online banking services has also returned to normal, apologising to their customers.

“We’re so sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused,” Bank Australia said.

Any customers who require ongoing support should contact their bank’s respective customer service centres.
