Impartial cops?

PROBLEMS are mounting for the Met Commissioner.

The failure by senior officers to tackle the violent and intimidatory hate marches on our capital’s streets is leaving Sir Mark Rowley vulnerable.

He cannot be blamed for every bone-headed decision or outburst from one of his cops on the ground.

But the case of the “openly Jewish” man threatened with arrest if he did not move away from a pro-Palestinian protest — and the subsequent embarrassing PR U-turn which followed it — is symptomatic of a wider malaise.

Put simply, the Met appears to have taken sides and Jews are justified in believing it’s not theirs.

In protecting the rights of the marchers, the Met has left some Jewish people feeling frightened to go out.

Even yesterday’s London Marathon was hijacked as dozens of Palestinian flags once again flew freely from lampposts.

No one — not the police, the organisers or Tower Hamlets council which first removed them weeks ago — appeared to take any action.

Rather than robustly policing hatred, the Met has spent £32million escorting mob members and indulging their loathsome ideology and ludicrous cosplay. Treating marchers with kid-gloves has only encouraged more demos.

At a time when a quarter of Londoners have been attacked or threatened, we can ill-afford such a pussy-footing waste of time and money.
