FULHAM host Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Sunday in a match that has major consequences for the Reds as they attempt to win the Premier League in Jurgen Klopp’s last season at the club.

After last Sunday’s home defeat to Crystal Palace, Liverpool simply can’t afford any more slip-ups between now and the end of the season.

Fulham vs Liverpool betting preview

Marco Silva’s Fulham have little left to play for this season.

The Cottagers sit midtable on 42 points, they are safe from relegation, and although not mathematically impossible, it’s highly unlikely they could reach Europe.

In reality, the best they have to play for is a top-half finish.

As for Liverpool, well - a season that promised so much now looks like it will end with just the EFL Cup in the trophy cabinet.

Okay, a lot of teams would see that as a successful season. But not Liverpool, who just over a month ago were chasing a quadruple.

The most the Reds can achieve now is the Premier League title and EFL Cup double. But even that’s in doubt after last Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

Jurgen Klopp’s team has to remain positive.

Everybody knows that Manchester City are ruthless at this stage of a title run-in. But Pep’s team haven’t looked as convincing as last season.

And the last thing Liverpool want to do is hand the title to City on a plate. We think they will keep the title race alive this weekend by bouncing back with a win in London.

Both teams to score and Liverpool to win

Liverpool did manage to keep a clean sheet against Atalanta in the Europa League on Thursday night.

This was their first shutout since their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on March 2nd and ended a run of nine games in which they have conceded.

Fulham have nothing to play for, so we can see them having a go at Liverpool on Sunday and probably scoring. Liverpool simply have to win.

Back both teams to score and Liverpool to win at 31/20 with Spreadex

Harry Wilson over 1.5 shots

Former Liverpool wideman Harry Wilson likes to take a pop at goal whenever the chance arises. He also gets to take long-range free kicks when sheer brute force is all that is required.

He would love to show his old boss that he was wrong to let him go, so we expect Wilson to be keen to get his name on the scoresheet.

If Wilson is shooting on sight, he is a great bet at even-money to have two shots or more in the match.

Mohamed Salah 2+ goals (bet365)

Mo Salah has been coming in for some criticism for his lack of goals of late.

And it is the case that the Egyptian hasn’t looked like his usual self. But despite this, he has still scored three times in his last six matches.

Okay, it’s a poor run by Salah’s standards. But it’s a run a lot of strikers would be proud of.

A return to goalscoring form won’t be far away for the striker. Why not this weekend?
