Reddit user jfcletmein "just went wild" on their stairway and upstairs space with art, color, and personal expression.

They shared in a post how they transformed areas of their home with minimal effort.

"It was super simple!" they wrote.

First, they applied wallpaper to the specific area they wanted to paint.

They then mounted the molding over the wallpaper.

The Reddit user chose to just use caulk, which is a "super light plastic molding."

Next, they taped it in place for an hour to set.

Once set, they removed the tape and used a box cutter to slice any excess paper off from outside the molding.

Three murals were strategically placed around the staircase, and two of them were in vintage gold frames.

There was one at the top, one at the bottom, and another on the ceiling that was not framed.

The ones at the top and bottom matched with their pink floral details.

This is beautiful! Classy without being stuffy. Looove," one Redditor commented.

.The most talked about piece was the skeleton mural.

It was on the ceiling directly above the staircase and featured a light gray skeleton surrounded by shrubbery and white, blue, and red flowers randomly tossed in.

People couldn't believe they did that and were in awe of their skill.

"Wait, you *painted* the skeleton mural? If so, holy crap that's unbelievable! If not, it's still beyond awesome. Just absolutely fantastic," someone wrote.

The Reddit user replied that they were tall and the ceiling over the stairs was "somewhat low," so it wasn't hard for them to do.

The entire project was about 8 to 9 hours of paint time overall, they said.

"Omg, beautiful. That skeleton is so perfectly placed," another said.

"Thank you. That was my intention, more of a vibe/maximalist thing," jfcletmein said.

All of the artwork complemented the dark, almost black walls.
