A CLEANING fan has praised a £2.80 trick which will get your home spotless for your Spring clean.
Now that the weather is getting - slightly - better, and the evenings are continuing to get lighter Roo has been getting her home ready for the sunny season ahead.

And with this, she has discovered some savvy cleaning hacks - which won’t break the bank either.
The cleaning influencer, who goes by the name of @HomewithRoo on Instagram, has shared some of her tips and tricks including how she uses £2.80 Marigold gloves to help her clean.
Longer Gloves for bin dives
We all know the Marigold Longer Bathroom Gloves - with their longer cuffs - are great for unwanted contact with the loo.
But I highly recommend having a few extra pairs for other jobs that require extra protection - like the dreaded bin clean.

The gloves, which cost £2.80 from Dunelm, will help to protect your arm from the icky bit of bin food.
For a deep clean, make a paste with some bicarb and water and give your bin a good wipe down, using a durable microfibre cloth such as the Marigold Let It Shine On & On Microfibre cloth.
Wipe off the solution with a damp cloth and, crucially, let the bin dry before you add a bag, so it doesn’t become a breeding ground for bacteria.

An extra tip is to add a sprinkle of bicarb to the bottom of your bin – it really helps eliminate odours.

Declog your u-bend
Blocked kitchen sink? Rather than calling out a costly plumber, it can be a simple job to tackle yourself.

Bring back your sink’s shine
If you’ve got limescale on your tap, soak a microfibre cloth in white vinegar and wrap it around the tap for at least 15 minutes.
Next, using a paste of salt, lemon juice and a sprinkle of bicarbonate of soda combined with a Marigold Cleaning Me Softly Non Scratch Scourer, which costs £1.50 from Sainsbury's, and scrub the sink to remove residue and bring back your sink’s shine.
Unwrap the tap and rinse thoroughly.
Finally, grab a dry microfibre cloth – it’s super absorbent and ensures no watermarks are left behind, only a satisfying shine.
Always use damp and test first on an inconspicuous area. Do not use the harsh chemicals and bleach, dry powder or abrasive detergents.
Reduce ironing time
There’s nothing worse than staring into a giant pile of laundry that still needs ironing.
