Accompanying the post was a picture of their lunch prep.

The Redditor explained the method behind the lunchtime meal prep madness.

"My favorite easy way to save tomato seeds and others," they wrote.

"I think I must be mistaken on the variety then as I’ve grown these ones from saved seed the last three years and have all been same fruit so must be different variety then I guess?"

"It's possible that it's an open pollinated variety that was simply mislabeled," the fellow green thumb replied.

"It's also possible the crosses for your original variety were similar enough that you didn't notice any difference.
