HARDEST GEEZER Russ Cook was spotted at a non-league match just hours before he's due to take on the London marathon.

The Brit shocked fans when he announced he would be taking on the iconic London event just two weeks after he finished running the length of Africa.

The feat took Cook 352 days and saw him cover 16,000km.

His journey started at the continent's most southerly point, Cape Agulhas in South Africa and saw him end in Ras Angela, Tunisia's most northerly point.

Despite many expecting Cook to take it easy after his amazing feat, he dramatically announce his intention to run the London Marathon while still in Africa.

When asked about his future plans, he told The Happy Hour Podcast: "It's hard to know until I'm back really.

"I'll have probably a few days of not running, then we'll see.

"I've got the London Marathon in two weeks, so I need to shape up for that."

Ahead of tomorrow's marathon, he was seen dropping in to watch his local team Worthing play Weston-super-Mare.

Cook was given a heroes welcome at the ground, embracing stewards as he walked in.

From there, he was taken to the club house and given a club replica shirt.

Cook's endeavours have seen him raise £960,500 for charity so far.

That's 96 per cent of his goal of £1m.

That money is then to be split between two charities.

Sandblast, an organisation that organises skills-based training and creative education for refugees in the Sahara.

And The Running Charity, which aims to help young people facing homelessness.
