Major airport in Europe evacuated over bomb threat as flights cancelled and man arrested
Police are also investigating an incident in Nordmarksvej where an ATM was blown up at 4.00am
A MAN has been arrested after Billund Airport received a warning about a bomb threat.
Denmark's second largest airport was evacuated immediately and will remain shut as police carry out investigations.

The South East Jutland Police confirmed that they received reports of a bomb threat at 10.30am on April 20.
All passengers and staff were evacuated from the airport at 11.40am.
It has since emerged that one man has been arrested in connection with the bomb threat.
Pictures from the airport show a man in handcuffs being led away from the scene by police.

It is currently unclear if anyone else was involved.
Police inspector Michael Weiss said: "We ask everyone not to drive towards the airport and to follow the police's instructions on the spot.
"The evacuation has proceeded calmly and as expected, with travellers following our instructions."
Weiss has also apologised for the closure of the airport and for how many people it has impacted.

Weiss added: "But the reality is that there are some circumstances that we cannot go into further, which makes it necessary.
"Right now we are conducting an investigation where we are questioning the arrested man.
"There is a lot of investigative work and a lot of technical work.
"We need to investigate whether it is serious or something that was said in jest."
Weiss declined to comment on whether the arrested person was Danish.
Police, investigators, bombs dogs and the Armed Forces' munition disposers are currently on the scene investigating the incident.
The Home Guard has also confirmed that a minesweeper is in the process of being sent to the airport.
The Triangle area's Fire Service has taken to X to share that they are assisting the investigation with several stations and drones.
All flights have been cancelled, with police saying that they will only be able to share more information regarding air traffic at 6.00pm at the earliest.
The police say they are working with a number of authorities to get the airport reopened as quickly as possible, according to a press release from the South East Jutland Police.
In the meantime, hundreds stranded passengers are waiting at the Billund Airport Hotel.
Canina Rodriguez is amongst the hundreds of passengers who have had their flights cancelled, and is currently waiting at the Airport Hotel.
Rodriguez told local media TV 2 that the hotel staff have gone above and beyond, offering free coffee, and opening hotel rooms for people to go to the toilet.
Rodriguez said: "The mood is high here, even though we don't know what's happening with our trips."
