Darts results LIVE: Luke Littler returns to Premier League action TOMORROW vs Gerwyn Price, Humphries faces Aspinall

LUKE LITTLER is back in Premier League action tomorrow night as he faces Gerwyn Price in the quarter-final.

The Nuke already beat Price in the final in Manchester a few weeks ago, and will be looking to win his third night of the tournament in Liverpool.

Elsewhere, Luke Humphries faces Nathan Aspinall in his quarter-final match-up.

  • Littler braced for rare tough reception

Manchester United fan Luke Littler is expecting an interesting reception at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena tomorrow night for Premier League Darts Night 13.

Littler posted and then deleted a tweet teasing his club's main rivals after the Red Devils KO'd them in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

He posted a meme on involving himself with the Liverpool boss, adding the words: "What is the difference between Luke Littler and Jurgen Klopp. Littler has more trebles!"

Anfield fans on social media took less than kindly to the joke.

And it's thought they might noisily confirm their displeasure with his trolling when the Warrington whizkid competes at the M&S Bank Arena on Thursday evening.

  • Littler starts a round early in Austria

Luke Littler must start the Austrian Open in the first round - while Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson and Peter Wright join a stage later at the last 16.

Other big names alongside Littler in the opening round at Graz are Joe Cullen, Chris Dobey, Martin Schindler and James Wade.

The tenth annual event has previously been won by Justin Pipe in its first year, 2012 - plus Michael van Gerwen (2013, 2017, 2019 and 2022), Vincent van der Voort (2014), Phil Taylor (2016) and Jonny Clayton (2018 and last year).

  • Luke out to avoid double flop

Luke Littler aims to avoid two straight Prem quarter-final losses for the first time when he's back in his native North West tomorrow evening.

The Nuke, from Warrington, opens against Gerwyn Price at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.

Price himself needs victory to boost his hopes of qualifying for the play-offs.

Littler, 17, dropped to second in the table last Thursday behind Luke Humphries, who then beat him in the European Darts Grand Prix in Germany last weekend.

And if Humphries beats Nathan Aspinall tomorrow night, then he'll face Littler in the semi-finals.

Littler and Price are set to launch Thursday evening's action at 7.15pm.

  • 'Who's this kid getting this, that and the other?'

Nathan Aspinall explained how he reckons Luke Littler is perceived by his rivals.

The Asp said: "What he has done for the game is amazing.

"He has kind of got under everyone's skin because of what he is doing and what he is getting.

"We are like, 'Who is this kid that got to the final of the Worlds and is now getting this, that and the other?'.

"It does kind of get under your skin and we are there to knock him down as much as we can, but there is no denying that he is a fantastic talent and a great addition to the Premier League."

  • 'We're all there to knock Littler down'

Nathan Aspinall says all the publicity surrounding Luke Littler has "got under everyone's skin" on the darts circuit.

And that's left The Asp concluding it's everyone's job to "knock him down as much as we can".

Having already described Luke Humphries as in a class of his own, Aspinall took the Warrington whizkid down another peg - but it's nothing personal nor meant as a criticism.

  • Evans in late call-up for Austrian Open

England's Ricky Evans has earned an 11th-hour call-up for this weekend's Austrian Darts Open - despite losing in the final round of qualifiers.

One player had to pull out - opening up a vacancy taken by the Kettering 33-year-old.

'Rapid Ricky' will now travel to Graz for the fifth Euro Tour tournament of the season, starting on Friday.

Evans is the second player promoted from the reserve list -following Richard Veenstra.

  • Austrian Darts Open this weekend

Tomorrow night's Premier League Darts will be followed by the Fifth Euro Tour event - the Austrian Darts Open from Friday to Sunday.

The six hours of daily play start at around noon.

  • He's the best - Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall has said that he believes Luke Humphries is the best darts player in the world "by a million miles".

Aspinall told Sky Sports' Love The Darts Podcast: "Standard-wise, Humphries is the best player in the world by a million miles. When he brings his A-game, we can't beat him.

"He has been producing numbers that are obscene. I don't even do that in a practice room, let alone on the stage.

"I beat him last week and can hopefully count on that experience and get another result but he is definitely the best player out there at the moment."

  • Luke's football skills

Luke Littler passed the crossbar challenge TWICE in a Life of Pie YouTube video.

He appeared alongside the likes of Angry Ginge and Bateson in the video.

And The Nuke showed his class by hitting the crossbar twice back-to-back with his first two efforts.

Littler, 17, then hit the woodwork a third time with a brilliant curling shot from around 20 yards, before falling just short with his next two efforts.

  • Ready for boos

Luke Littler has said he expects to face boos at the next Premier League Darts event.

That's because he's a massive Manchester United fan.

The player has taken to Instagram to taunt Liverpool in recent weeks and is expecting a hostile reception.

  • Littler back on form

Luke Littler returned to form on Friday after a Premier League Darts nightmare.

That's after he beat  Arno Merk aside without dropping a leg in the European Tour.

That has set up another clash with Luke Humphries this week.

The dominant performance came after he was knocked out of night 12 of Premier League Darts by Michael Smith.

Smith won 6-3 to stop Littler's streak of three consecutive wins in the Prem.
