His first tip is to aerate your lawn, which he said is both "satisfying and beneficial".

The gardening whizz explained that by making some holes in your grass with a garden fork you are letting the water and fertiliser soak into the ground, thus promoting deeper roots.

His next tip is to "spring clean".

The gardening pro revealed that this means using a rake to remove all of the fallen leaves and debris from your lawn.

He explained: "This means the grass can receive sunshine & water evenly.

"After this step, give your lawn a mow!"

Third on the gardeners list is preventing weeds from appearing, which you can do by spreading a pre-emergent weed control onto the grass.

You can pick this up from Amazon for around £20.

If your lawn is looking a little patchy, the gardener recommended putting some grass seed down to allow fresh grass to grow.

Simply throw the seeds on the grass, sprinkle some top soil over them and keep the area moist for around two weeks.

However, the gardening expert warned that you have to pick between this step and step three, as the emergent will stop lawn seeds from growing as well.

The final tip on the gardener's list is to apply fertiliser to the grass.

He said: "This is an essential step to keeping your lawn green all year round.

"A lawn fertiliser is high in nitrogen which is the most important nutrient for new, green growth."

The video, which was posted under the username @armsstronggarden, has likely left many impressed, as it has racked up over 1.1 million views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts.
