A HAIRCARE expert has shared the three ingredients to incorporate into your diet that will promote eyebrow growth.
The trichologist offered additional tips, including a warning against a beauty trend that could thin them out permanently.
Absolute Collagen trichologist Eva Proudman is a renowned expert with over two decades of experience concerning hair and scalp health.
She shared advice on how to maintain and regrow thinning eyebrows with The U.S. Sun.
GROWTH GOSSIP
People can take several simple steps every day to help encourage eyebrow hair growth.
"If opting for a topical treatment to treat eyebrow growth, I recommend looking for products containing Keratin, peptides, and soy protein," Proudman said.
She also expressed caution about a popular eyebrow grooming method that goes back decades.
She advised being mindful when shaping your brows yourself, especially if they increasingly shedding.
The Institute of Trichologists Chairman said to "try not to over pluck or wax them.
"As tempting as this may be, over time the hair will not be able to regenerate," she explained.

Your nutrition can also affect your eyebrow growth.
Pay special attention to what you're consuming because it also plays a role in follicle thickness.
"Make sure your diet includes foods that are rich in protein, such as lean meats, fish, and beans, which will help to provide the keratin that hair is made of," Proudman said.
Eating enough protein is incredibly important because "it supports the normal hair growth and shedding cycle."
Proudman also suggested taking supplements, like Absolute Collagen's Marine Liquid Collagen Drink For Women, because they can help boost the body's nutrients that support follicle function and growth.
"For example, collagen is full of the amino acids your body needs to build keratin, a key protein in our hair, so by taking a daily liquid collagen supplement you can boost your levels further," she said.
She also touched on two vitamins that support luscious locks.
If you are on a plant-based diet, Proudman said that vitamin B complex supplements can be "instrumental in maintaining good hair health," because it is only found in animal proteins.
"Another vital nutrient is vitamin D, which supports the creation of new follicles and helps to regulate the immune system," she added.
The last piece of advice she offered was timeless.
"Stay hydrated! The hair is made of 10% water and it needs hydration just like the rest of our bodies," she explained.
