I’ve used it twice now and managed to extract some really old hard dark wax which I didn’t know I had as it wasn’t blocking the eardrum, but I thought I could feel it from time to time. It’s actually quite a therapeutic and nice way to spend the time and it’s interesting seeing your eardrum close up. Before trying to clean your ear, I would spend some time getting used to the wand orientation and how it comes up on the camera feed. Start with slowly moving in and out in different directions to gauge how close you are getting to the very delicate eardrum area. Another tip if you are worried about going too deep is to hold the stick/wand nearer the end so that you only have enough length to insert it deep before your fingers get stopped by the opening of your ear canal.

I bought one of these devices when you posted a deal on one maybe 9 months or so ago, and it has been worth its weight in gold. Having a child who has chronic ear infections, it is SO helpful in seeing what’s going on to know that I’m not wasting a trip to the dr. For reference, I have an otoscope also, and this is SO much easier to see with.
