Trump blasts GOP rep who voted to impeach him — and endorses his opponent
Aside from being the first former US president to face four indictments, Donald Trump was also the first US President to be impeached — twice.
The MAGA hopeful last week, according to The Washington Post, slammed one of two GOP House members — out of ten — left in Congress who voted to impeach him following his incitement of the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.
Taking aim at US Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA), Trump endorsed the Washington State lawmaker's primary opponent, Jerrod Sessler, via Truth Social, hailing Sessler as "MAGA all the way," and emphasizing that the GOP hopeful has his "Complete and Total Endorsement."

Trump added, "He will never let you down!!!"
Newhouse told the Post although Trump's support of Sessler is "expected," the endorsement won't deter his confidence in winning reelection.
"I’m going to win,” the Washington State congressman said. "I’ll work as hard as I can."
Last month, Washington Post columnist Glenn Kessler fact-checked comments the former president made regarding his impeachment during an Ohio rally.

Referring to Trump's claim that US Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) — who, at the time was a candidate for Senate — "made up my conversation that I had with the president of Ukraine," Kessler wrote, "As president, he attacked Rep. Schiff (D-Calif.) 90 times for supposedly making up a conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The conversation — which occurred in a not-made-up phone call on July 25, 2019 — was at the center of Trump's impeachment. Trump, later in his rally speech, suggested he had hoodwinked Schiff by releasing 'a tape' of his conversation and exposing Schiff's dishonesty. But Trump had it backward."
