Finland will host the NATO Arrow 24 exercises from April 26 to May 14, involving nearly 500 pieces of equipment and around 2,600 military personnel, as well as foreign servicemen, the Finnish Army press service reported.

In particular, military personnel from the United Kingdom, Latvia, and Estonia will participate in the exercises in Finland. The exercises will take place at the Pohjankangas training ground in Niinisalo. The aim of the exercises is to enhance operational compatibility and interaction of mechanized units with allies, as well as to develop the ability to receive international assistance and provide support to the host country of the exercises.

They are also aimed at practicing joint use of firepower by the armed forces. During the exercises, mechanized troops will practice, among other things, offensive and defensive actions of the combat unit. The exercises require coordinated interaction from various types of armed forces.

Finnish aviation will be involved in the exercises, the British combat helicopter unit AH-64E Apache will participate, Estonia will send CV9035 armored vehicles, and the main equipment of the Latvian troops in the exercises will be Scimitar tracked vehicles and Spartan armored personnel carriers.
