Over 8,000 Iranian students study in Russian universities — ambassador to Russia

MOSCOW, April 16. /TASS/. Over 8,000 Iranian students are studying at Russian universities and their number is growing, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali said.

"The number of Iranian students in Russian universities is increasing day by day. At present, more than 8,000 Iranian students are studying in Russian universities. Some of them are studying in the oil and gas industry," he said at the session of the National Oil and Gas Forum.

In addition, Jalali pointed out that Russian students have the opportunity to do internships in Iranian oil and gas companies. "Of course, Russian students can do internships in Iranian companies. But they have to send their requests through official channels. The Iranian embassy in Moscow is ready to assist Russian students," the diplomat emphasized.
