KATE Middleton has impeccable style - and you may be able to replicate one of her stunning looks with a Marks & Spencer dress.

In April 2014, the royal visited Manly Beach in Australia and hit all the right fashion notes wearing a broderie anglaise dress from Zimmerman.

Although Kate’s exact white midi dress sold out years ago, M&S is currently selling a very similar alternative that looks ideal for spring.

And the best part is the £59 M&S dress is much cheaper than the £280 Zimmerman original.

M&S’ Pure Cotton Broderie Midi Shirt Dress has a similar embroidered material and certainly looks fit for royalty.

Perfect for warmer weather, it is made from pure cotton so is breathable and lightweight.

Meanwhile, the dress also has an elegant A-line and a flattering waist tie, and the puffed sleeves are a chic addition.

It comes in three lengths, petite, regular and long, and from size 6 to 24.

If white isn’t your colour, you can also pick it up in a sage green onyx shade too.

The dress would look perfect with sandals, trainers or heels, so could fit many spring occasions.

Shoppers have been quick to praise how expensive the dress feels, with one person leaving a five-star rating saying: “Lovely dress, very flattering when it’s on and a nice length.

“Very pleased with it just need the weather to warm up to wear it!”

Another added: “ I’m 5ft4, brought petite, changed the belt to a leather tan colour, looks more expensive, would wear tan sandals with this dress.”

Some shoppers recommended sizing up as they found it to be on the smaller side.

The Princess of Wales is currently recovering from her abdominal surgery in January and has not done royal duties since Christmas.

Kensington Palace's original statement on Kate Middleton's surgery

KENSINGTON Palace released a statement in January after Kate had undergone surgery.

Sources made it clear Kate would be out of action until at least Easter.

The palace said: "The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate.

"She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.

"Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.

"The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements.

"She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”

Just over three weeks ago, the princess gave a heartfelt and emotional video statement revealing she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

The couple spent most of the Easter holidays in Norfolk with their children George, ten, Charlotte, eight, and Louis, five.

There is no date for her return although Buckingham Palace garden parties and the Chelsea Flower Show take place next month.
