Anne (@anne.e.trapani) shared the handy decor tip in a viral TikTok video.

She explained that she had decided to try a trick she'd seen on her sad hydrangeas.

"I tried one of those hacks to bring my hydrangeas back to life and wow," she said.

"Wait till you see the results."

She fully submerged the flowers in ice cold water for 20 seconds and then turned it over to expose it to fresh air.

Over a time lapse, she showed off how the flowers transformed after their quick and effortless bath.

Anne gave the flowers a fresh cut and returned them to water, this time heated.

Six hours later, her flowers looked good as new.

"Totally back to life," she said.

People were shocked by how well the trick worked, including those who realized they'd done it wrong when they attempted it.

My flowers always look like a professional arranged them - that's thanks to an Amazon buy, it was the best $8 I've spent

"Hot water? Omg I've been doing it wrong," said one commenter.

"OMG that's why it never works for me. I only been using cold water!" said another.

Anne revealed that returning the flowers to hot water was a big key.

"I tried cold first and no change so I did the dunk again and changed the vase water to hot. Boom!" she wrote.

Some joked that her flowers needed a bit of attention for a pick-me-up.

"Hydrangeas are dramatic. They'll die if you look at them wrong," quipped one viewer.

Others shared their tips that expedited the revival process.

"Just leave them upside down in water for couple hours. The same result," said one viewer.
