If you’re in the mood for some religious horror, good news: Sydney Sweeney’s new horror movie Immaculate is coming to digital platforms this week, just three weeks after the movie opened in theaters.

Directed by Michael Mohan, who also directed Sweeney in the 2021 erotic thriller The Voyeurs, Immaculate follows a young nun named Cecilia (Sweeney) who is invited to join a convent in Italy that cares for ailing nuns in their dying days. While there, Cecilia is shocked to learn she is pregnant, despite the fact that she’s never had sex. Huh! Kinda makes you think of another famous virgin who was graced with immaculate conception.

Of course, it’s not all miracles at the convent. In fact, it’s mostly bloody, gory horrors. Immaculate received mixed reviews from critics, but it performed quite well at the box office, earning over $18.8 million worldwide, more than doubling its reported $9 million production budget. No doubt Neon hopes to make a new chunk of change now that the movie will be available to buy online.

Here’s what you should know about how to watch Immaculate online, and when to expect to see Immaculate on streaming services.

Immaculate movie digital release date:

Immaculate will be released on premium video-on-demand, to buy and rent, on Tuesday, April 16, according to the Amazon landing page for the movie.

Beginning at 12 a.m. Eastern Time on April 16 (which is also 9 p.m. Pacific Time on April 15), the Immaculate movie will be available to buy and rent on Amazon PrimeApple TVVudu, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie will cost $19.99 to buy, and $9.99 to rent.

Immaculate will also be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on June 11, 2024.

How to rent Immaculate online:

Where to watch Immaculate on streaming:

Immaculate is not yet available for free on any of the subscription streaming services, and it’s not clear where the movie will land. Right now, we expect to see Immaculate streaming on Hulu in the future. But that may change. Neon, the production company behind Immaculate, penned a multiyear deal with Hulu back in 2017, but Hulu is supposed to merge with Disney+ any day now. Does this mean you’ll see Immaculate on Disney+ before the end of 2024? It’s not yet clear.

When will Immaculate stream on Hulu?

Perhaps if the merger is delayed, you’ll see Immaculate on Hulu later this year. Another Neon horror movie, It Lives Inside, began streaming on Hulu about three months after it opened in theaters. If Immaculate follows a similar release pattern, you may see it on Hulu around late June 2024. On the other hand, another Neon release, Ferrari, still is not streaming on Hulu over four months after opening in theaters—so it’s not a hard and fast rule.

In other words, this is all speculation. If you want to watch Immaculate at home right away, you can buy or rent the film online beginning tomorrow.
