Hungary supports China’s peaceful plan to end the war in Ukraine. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated this at a joint conference with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, according to Hirado.

“China is one of the pillars of the new world order. We also support the Chinese peace initiative presented by Xi Jinping,” he said.

The Hungarian Prime Minister reiterated his opinion that Europe is currently on the side of war.

“Hungary is the only exception because it calls for an immediate ceasefire and peaceful negotiations and supports all international efforts aimed at achieving peace,” he noted.

Recall that on February 24, 2023, the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale aggression, China unveiled the so-called “peace plan” for Ukraine, which consists of 12 points. In particular, it calls for the resumption of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia and criticizes sanctions. At the same time, China also declares respect for the sovereignty of all countries and emphasizes the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear weapons.
