A man in police custody shot two police officers in the police station in the 13th arrondissement of Paris on Thursday evening. Paris police chief Laurent Nunez arrived on site around midnight, Le Figaro reported.

Two police officers were shot and injured by a man taken into police custody, after the latter grabbed an official’s weapon, inside the police station in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, boulevard de l’Hôpital , this Thursday, May 9 in the evening. The events occurred around 10:30 p.m.

The two injured police officers are in absolute emergency, a source close to the matter told AFP. According to a police source in Le Figaro, one of the two police officers was hit in the abdomen and the other in the leg. Samu intervened on the spot. According to the CFTC police spokesperson, the two injured officials were evacuated, one to the Salpêtrière hospital, the other to the Hôtel-Dieu. The vital prognosis of one of the two police officers is in jeopardy.
