The leader of Yemen’s Houthis has stated that the group will be targeting any ship supplying or transporting goods connected to Israel regardless of where they are headed.

The group’s leader, Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi, revealed that they would be going after ships heading toward Israeli ports from the Mediterranean Sea in any area they are able to reach.

He also said the group’s retaliation to Israel’s “aggression on Rafah” has escalated to its fourth stage.

“We will target any ships heading to Israeli ports in the Mediterranean Sea in any area we are able to reach,” military spokesman Yaha Sarea stated.

“This means that the matter is not conditional on whether they are heading to a port in occupied Palestine loaded with goods for the Israeli enemy,” al-Houthi said. “As long as that company sends ships to ports in occupied Palestine for the benefit of the Israeli enemy, these measures will be taken against it anywhere our hands reach, whether it is carrying goods for the Israeli enemy at that moment or not, we will target it.”

Later in his speech, al-Houthi hinted that the group was considering a fifth and sixth stage of retaliation.

“From now on, we are also thinking about the fifth stage and the sixth stage, and we have very important, sensitive and influential choices on the enemies,” he added.

Israel’s Mediterranean Sea port is located 1,240 miles from northern Yemen.
