Passengers were evacuated from an aircraft at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in Finland on Wednesday evening due to the smell of burning electrical equipment on board, as reported by YLE News.

The crew, preparing for departure to Kokkola, detected the odor and promptly evacuated the passengers, summoning emergency services. Although there was no visible fire, the cause of the smell remains unknown.

Social media posts revealed that among the passengers were Minister of Education Anna-Maja Henriksson and deputies Mika Lintilä and Janni Jukkola, along with deputies Pia Silvanpää and Antti Kangas, according to Helsingin Sanomat.

Jukkola described the experience on Facebook, emphasizing the swift response of the rescue service. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the airport situation was resolved within an hour.
