Nine people lost their lives in a collision between a truck and a passenger van on a highway in China’s Ningxia region, as reported by AP.
The tragic incident occurred at 7:40 a.m. outside Qingtongxia city on Thursday morning. Two individuals sustained injuries but were reported to be in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
According to reports from state-owned Ningxia Daily, the van driver was among the deceased, while the truck driver is currently receiving emergency medical treatment. Footage from local media depicted significant damage to the front of the van. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
