In a Mexican court hearing, testimony revealed details surrounding the deaths of two Australian brothers and their American friend. The accused, Jesus Gerardo, also known as “El Kekas,” allegedly confessed to his then-girlfriend about killing them during a conversation at their home, 9news reported.

The victims, Callum and Jake Robinson, along with their friend Jack Carter Rhoad, were found dead in a well, believed to be the result of a botched robbery.

During the court appearance, Gerardo’s girlfriend recounted the chilling conversation she had with him, where he admitted to killing the three victims. She described how Gerardo showed her the car he had been driving, which had the tires from the victims’ vehicle. Following this revelation, she fled to her mother’s house, later cooperating with the police, citing domestic violence and concern for her young daughter.

Gerardo, the alleged ringleader of the trio, was charged with forced kidnapping but did not enter a plea. He is to remain in custody until his next hearing scheduled for November. Meanwhile, the parents of the Australian brothers traveled to Mexico to identify their sons’ bodies and paid tribute to them and their American friend, while a GoFundMe page was set up to assist with funeral and travel expenses during the ongoing investigation.
