An independent investigation revealed pervasive workplace misconduct at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), including sexual harassment, discrimination, and bullying, Politico reported.

The report, conducted by law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, detailed incidents of senior executives pursuing romantic relationships with subordinates and widespread fear of retaliation among employees.

Calls for FDIC Chair Martin Gruenberg’s resignation intensified following the report’s release, with bipartisan criticism citing his leadership failures and inappropriate conduct.
