In the Netherlands, police detained around 140 people during the dispersal of Palestinian demonstrators who had set up camp at the University of Amsterdam, according to the Dutch broadcaster NOS.

The police, prosecutor’s office, and municipality decided to dismantle the protesters’ camp last night, stating that it was a case of unauthorized entry onto university grounds.

The university administration had repeatedly asked the protesters to leave the camp last night, but not everyone was willing to comply. By around 4:30 am, the demonstration had largely ended, and people were escorted to buses. Four of the 140 detainees remain in custody for the time being.

Recall that in France, pro-Palestinian actions affected several branches of Sciences Po and were mainly concentrated at the university in Paris. There was also a protest at the Sorbonne.
