In the venue in Katowice, where the off-site meeting of the Polish government was scheduled to take place on May 7th, devices resembling listening equipment were found. As reported by RMF24, this was announced by a representative of the minister-coordinator of the intelligence services, Jacek Dobżynski.

The State Protection Service, in cooperation with the Internal Security Agency, discovered and dismantled devices that could have been used for eavesdropping in the Katowice venue, where the government meeting was supposed to take place.

In a comment, Bogusław Pękowski, a representative of the commanding officer of the State Protection Service, stated that the devices were discovered during a routine security check before the meeting, as required by security protocols. After the discovery, the Internal Security Agency was notified, and their specialists began investigating the circumstances. He did not specify the exact nature of the devices found.

Donald Tusk, along with several ministers, had traveled to Katowice and planned to hold the government meeting there because many government members were participating in the European Economic Congress taking place in Katowice. Among the congress guests was also the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
