Josep Borrell, the head of European diplomacy, urged European companies to actively collaborate with Ukraine in the defense industry. Speaking at a conference on cooperation in this area, which involved 140 companies from 25 EU member states, Borrell stated that relevant projects would receive funding from the EU.
“Take advantage of this opportunity to combine your capabilities with Ukraine, and we will finance your joint work,” he noted.
Emphasizing the importance of cooperation, Borrell stressed that transferring production to Ukraine would be a key aspect of this process. This step will not only strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and EU countries but also enhance the region’s defense readiness.
