In Malaysia, Faisal Halim, a player of the national team, was attacked and acid was poured on him in a shopping center. The incident occurred in Petaling Jaya, near the capital, Kuala Lumpur. Halim, a 26-year-old forward for the Selangor football club, suffered second-degree burns on his neck, shoulders, arms, and chest.

The suspect in the attack has been arrested, although his motives remain unclear.

This incident occurred just three days after another player of the national team, 25-year-old Ahyar Rashid, was robbed and beaten with an iron rod near his home. At that time, the suspects fled, and Rashid required stitches.

Halim, who has been playing for the Malaysian national team since 2019, has played 29 matches and scored 14 goals.
