John William is parting with his extensive book collection in Vancouver due to his declining vision and health issues. With over 3,500 books, including rare editions and academic texts, William’s collection spans various genres and topics, Vancouver Sun reported.

Despite his love for books, William faces physical limitations, including restrictions on lifting heavy objects due to multiple spine surgeries.

He hopes to find new homes for his books, especially those unavailable in large print or audiobook formats. William’s passion for learning started during his university years, where he studied philosophy and English literature. His preference for smaller bookstores reflects his appreciation for curated selections and personalized recommendations.

As he embraces the inevitability of losing his sight, William remains optimistic about the future of his beloved books.
