Kevin Spacey has rebuffed fresh accusations of misconduct set to be aired in a forthcoming UK television documentary. The Oscar-winning actor, speaking in an online interview with journalist Dan Wootton, vehemently denied any illegal behavior and expressed his frustration at enduring baseless attacks without the opportunity to defend himself, as reported by AP.

Spacey, who was acquitted of sexual assault charges in a London court last year, disclosed his struggles to revive his career post-acquittal.

The documentary, titled “Spacey Unmasked,” is scheduled for broadcast on May 6 and 7 on Channel 4 in Britain and Max in the U.S. It purportedly features testimonies dating from 1976 to 2013. Spacey acknowledged his past actions, admitting to being flirtatious with men in their 20s and making “clumsy” advances, but firmly refuted claims of leveraging career advancement for sexual favors.

Spacey also lamented the short notice given by Channel 4 to respond to the allegations, asserting that a mere seven days were insufficient to address unspecified and anonymized accusations. He emphasized his track record of exoneration when provided adequate time and platform for defense.

Since facing public allegations in 2017 amidst the #MeToo movement, Spacey’s career has suffered setbacks, including losing his lead role in “House of Cards.” He described the aftermath of the accusations as a “life sentence,” underscoring the enduring impact on his professional life.
