Next week in the Czech Republic, the Immediate Response exercises will begin, involving Czech military personnel as well as their counterparts from the USA. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Czech General Staff, Magdalena Dvorzhakova, cited by Novinky.

Approximately 800 American servicemen and 350 Czech soldiers will participate in the exercises, which will take place at the Libava training ground. The maneuvers will last for two weeks in total.

These exercises are part of the largest NATO maneuvers in decades, Steadfast Defender 24, involving over 90,000 military personnel from all Alliance countries in various locations across Europe.

According to Dvorzhakova, the main objective of the exercises is to assess the Czech army’s ability to provide comprehensive support to allied forces on Czech territory during large-scale operations, support allies’ efforts to develop defense capabilities within NATO by involving Czech Armed Forces resources, and enhance the Czech military’s ability to participate in the full spectrum of tactical planning processes.

Military equipment has been relocated to Libava from US Army depots in Germany since mid-April to conduct the exercises.
