Two key players in Selling The OC Season 3’s biggest, messiest, most WTF fight have parted ways with The Oppenheim Group, along with a third unexpected departure from the agency. (Hint: It’s an Alexandra, which narrows it down to four.)

Tyler Stanaland and Sean Palmieri may have ended Selling The OC‘s dramatic new season — which premiered May 3 on Netflix — hating each other’s guts, but they were still very much working for O Group boss Jason Oppenheim. Thanks to reports, personal LinkedIn pages, and The Oppenheim Group’s website, however, we don’t need to wait for future seasons of the show to know they’re both out. And in a twist, so is Alexandra Jarvis.

While we’ll still have to tune into future Selling The OC episodes to see the exact circumstances surrounding everyone’s departures, we do have some idea of timelines and context, so let’s dive in.

Wondering why or when Selling The OC‘s Tyler Stanaland, Sean Palmieri, and Alexandra Jarvis left The Oppenheim Group on Netflix? Here’s what we know following the Season 3 premiere of the Selling Sunset spinoff.

Why Did Tyler Stanaland Leave The Oppenheim Group?

Ahead of Selling The OC Season 3, fans of the reality series learned that Stanaland (aka ex-husband of actor Brittany Snow) had parted ways with The O Group in October 2023. The real estate agent and reality star told People he was leaving the show to work with his dad, John Stanaland, again at his high-profile agency, Douglas Elliman.

“Leaving The Oppenheim Group wasn’t an easy decision, but is the right decision for me and my clients,” Stanaland told People via email. “Not only am I joining my dad and brother at Douglas Elliman, I’m aligning with a brand that has unparalleled reach and presence in the market with a renowned network of agents and industry leaders.”

Per LinkedIn, Stanaland joined The Oppenheim Group in November 2021 and worked there for two years until October 2023. Ahead of Season 3’s drop, fans were quick to assume that Stanaland’s main reason for leaving the brokerage/show was his falling out with fellow Selling The OC star/former colleague/former close friend/former potential girlfriend?! Alex Hall, who revealed “I’m actually blocked on Instagram. I’m excommunicated,” during Selling Sunset‘s 2023 reunion. She added that she didn’t know Stanaland was leaving “until he pretty much left,” leading fans to assume their off-again romance fueled his decision. While it likely played a role in his departure, after Season 3, it’s clear that tensions were uncomfortably high between Stanaland and Palmieri as well.

Throughout Selling The OC Season 3’s eight episodes, Palmieri takes shots at Stanaland for being a nepo real estate baby, Stanaland calls Palmieri out for not selling houses, and Palmieri claims Stanaland had a crush on him. Oh, Palmieri also alleges that Stanaland’s office bestie Austin Victoria and his wife tried to have a threesome with him. How could we forget! The tense season culminates in a disastrous finale fight between the agents at a professional event, and after watching “Talk Derby to Me,” we wouldn’t blame anyone for wanting to escape that toxic work environment.

“[Tyler] left, yes that’s true,” Jason confirmed during the Selling Sunset reunion. “I don’t like speaking for other people. I just think it was a lot for him.”

We’ll have to keep watching to see what exactly prompted Stanaland to return to the family business and how the show handles his exit, but it’s worth noting that LinkedIn lists his time with Douglas Elliman from October 2023 to February 2024, so it’s unclear what professional moves Stanaland made after those five months.

Why Did Sean Palmieri Leave The Oppenheim Group?

Next up on The O Group’s departures list, Sean Palmieri, who we noted was fully immersed in all the Season 3 drama (despite barely appearing in the first two seasons).

After the blowout finale fight, Selling The OC Season 3 ended with Polly Brindle telling Stanaland, “It’s done. He is done. If Jason is the broker that I think he is [Sean’s] not going to last much longer in the fucking Oppenheim Group.”

So did Sean get fired for his role in the workplace conflict after Season 3 wrapped? We’ll have to wait and see how it all went down. What we do know is that in November 2023 (shortly after Stanaland’s departure) Palmieri told People, “After much consideration, I’ve decided to part ways with the Oppenheim Group. I am very excited about this new chapter in my career and eager to embark on a journey that closely aligns with my professional aspirations and personal growth.”

People also noted that he told ET he signed on as a partner “with an amazing, top-producing team and mentor, Steve Games, previous owner of Prudential California Realty and Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty,” but LinkedIn shows him working at The O Group until February 2024, listing two years and 10 months with the agency.

Neither Stanaland or Palmieri were present at Selling The OC‘s Season 3 press day, and their headshots and bios have since been removed from The O Group’s website. (In case anyone’s curious, Austin Victoria seems to have survived the drama and is still listed as a currently employed Realtor Associate in the Orange County office.)

Did Alexandra Jarvis Leave The Oppenheim Group?

Seemingly unrelated to the Tyler/Austin/Sean and Tyler/Alex Hall drama of Selling The OC, Alexandra Jarvis also left The Oppenheim group at some point since Season 3 wrapped. These Orange County realtors are dropping like flies!

Per Tudum, Jarvis “amicably parted ways with The Oppenheim Group to pursue other ventures” and is “enjoying some downtime right now.”

“I’ve just been enjoying married life and traveling. I really haven’t been prospecting or trying to focus on real estate right now,” Jarvis, who was present at the Season 3 press day, told Tudum. “I’ve been working on some other stuff, but I’m not ready to share what that is.”

So are the three real estate agents going to be in future episodes? Will Netflix give fans a Season 4? And if so, what drama awaits?! We’ll have to wait and see.

Until then, Selling The OC Season 3 is now streaming on Netflix.
