Jenna Bush Hager Embarrasses Hoda Kotb On ‘Today’ By Asking Her If She’s “Recently” Made Out With Anybody In Public: “Don’t Lie”

Today With Hoda & Jenna kicked off on a steamy note ahead of the weekend as Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager debated the ethics of making out in public.

The co-hosts were discussing a recent article from Cosmopolitan that deemed making out in public the “least objectionable form of PDA,” a take that Kotb very much appeared to agree with.

“The bar is OK, but don’t you think outside, there’s something more… There’s something about being in the street,” she told Bush Hager. She later declared, “I do love the make-out in the street.”

Kotb, who is certainly in her single era, has dished on the show before about the dates she’s gone on recently. She is so open about her romantic life on Today that Bush Hager jokingly deemed her the show’s resident “sex guru.”

“Have you done it?” Bush Hager asked, to which Kotb coyly replied, “Yeah, I’ve done it.”

But Bush Hager pressed further. “Have you done it recently?” she asked. Kotb denied it while laughing nervously, prompting Bush Hager to tell her, “Don’t lie.” Kotb appeared quite nervous after this line of questioning, but the co-hosts laughed it off together.

The ladies of Today were later joined by I’ve Had It hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan, both of whom seemed to side with Bush Hager’s take on PDA: Keep it at home!

“I have to say Jenna, I agree with you, I’ve had it with PDA during the day, making out in the street. It’s blocking the side walk!” Sullivan told Bush Hager, who doubled down on her point that PDA during the daytime is not cool.

“You’re all of a sudden having a sex talk with an 8-year-old in broad daylight ’cause two people are making out,” she ranted, before turning to her co-host and adding, “‘Cause you’re making out!” 

Kotb appeared shocked to have everyone turn on her so suddenly. “Where is your romance?!” she demanded.

Welch then asked Kotb if she was “out there making out in the streets,” to which Bush Hager added, “And furniture stores, too!”

Bush Hager is referring to a particularly shocking story Kotb shared on Today last year where she revealed she once made out with a former beau in a New York City furniture shop, though she did not name who it was.

“I think I should confess that one time when I was in New York, … dating someone here, we were in a furniture store and we had a full-on make out,” Kotb said at the time. “In the middle of it I thought, I might get fired!”

She added, “It was so edgy because I’m like, I could lose my whole job and it’s happening right now but I was kind of excited!” She later confessed that the experience was “totally sexy” and “a turn on.”
