Why is the media running interference for professional pro-Hamas thugs?

Mayor Adams was dead right to blame professional, pro-terror agitators for helping whip up the campus obscenities so visible at Columbia and around the nation over the past weeks: Of the 282 Hamas-loving thugs corralled by the NYPD at Columbia and City College late Tuesday, some 134 — nearly half — had no affiliation with either school.

Adams had previously cited NYPD intelligence as pointing to the “outside agitator” presence, but that wasn’t enough for lefty media that kept hinting he’d just made it up.

“Eric Adams Doesn’t Seem to Know How Many Protestors Arrested at Columbia Were the ‘Outside Agitators’ He Insisted Were There,” simpered Mediaite.

“New York City mayor continues to blame outside agitators for Columbia unrest, but offers little evidence,” smirked Politico.

That is, these members of the press wanted to stick to the narrative that the protests come solely from a wellspring of youthful outrage — which made it easier to obliquely cheer the pro-Hamas occupiers from the sidelines while conveniently staying out of the political violence where they might get hurt.

Too bad the arrest data squarely back up the mayor; sure sounds like a posse of outsiders to us

And, yes, it’s reasonable for media outlets to demand evidence of anyone, especially a public official, claiming anything.

Except for all the evidence of outsiders playing a major role that was already out there.

That is, the Adams-doubters could’ve asked the “tribunes of the people” themselves.

Here’s Palestine Action US, writing in that modern-day Der Stürmer, Mondoweiss: “Break open the university gates . . . reject the distinction between students and ‘outside agitators’ . . . The popular movement for Palestine is currently based out of the universities, but students are not the sole leaders . . . The most effective occupations have been where students have strong alliances with non-students.”

Here’s Nerdeen Kiswani’s fanatical freikorps Within Our Lifetime, posting on X: “LEAVING COLUMBIA NOW . . . MARCHING TO CCNY.”

And The People’s Forum (ironically funded by software millionaire Neville Roy Singham), also on X: “All day Tuesday, starting at 8AM we will hold a rally to support the students inside Columbia, fighting for Palestine and the end to the funding of apartheid and genocide.”

There it is, straight from horse’s . . . mouth.

All this, by the way, is a rerun of the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, when the ideological media also pretended the violence and intimidation came from the grassroots, not racist, Jew-hating, neo-Marxist astroturfed shocktroops

Groups like BLM and The People’s Forum are openly committed to the destruction of capitalism and democracy.

They seize any opportunity to fight that battle.

So while there are indeed plenty of antisemitic tantrum-throwers enrolled in US colleges, pretending pro agitators aren’t exploiting them is absurd, dangerous and morally blind.
