Lauren Boebert bemoans ‘disrespectful’ GWU hecklers who taunted her with ‘Beetlejuice’ chants months after groping scandal

Firebrand Rep. Lauren Boebert decried the “very disrespectful” hecklers who greeted her with chants of “Beetlejuice” and anti-Israel screeds during her venture through George Washington University Wednesday.

Undeterred, Boebert (R-Col.) strolled through campus with several Republican lawmakers flanked by a security team, as anti-Israel protesters hummed the “Imperial March” theme from “Star Wars” and repeatedly trolled her over the September “Beetlejuice” debacle, in which she was booted from the show after she was caught on camera groping her date.

Boebert eventually took a bullhorn and lambasted their behavior.

“This is what the students at GWU are facing each and every day. Their learning activities are being disrupted; their finals are being disrupted. It’s very disrespectful,” Boebert lamented.

“We have Jewish students who have approached me today who fear for the safety of their lives.”

During a press conference, Boebert did not comment on the “Beetlejuice” chants specifically.

A user on X who goes by the name “Anarchy Princess,” and famously clashed with former White House Trade Adviser Peter Navarro last summer, captured footage of it.

Back in September, Boebert and her then-beau were kicked out of a “Beetlejuice” showing in Colorado after getting very handsy with each other, blowing up a plume of vape smoke into the air and causing a disruption.

Security footage captured the incident and Boebert later attributed it to her “overly animated personality.” She also confirmed that her romance with her then-beau Quinn Gallagher, a Democrat, was over.

Boebert was joined by Reps. James Comer (R-Ky.), Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) in her journey through George Washington University.

The institution has effectively been taken over by a mob of anti-Israel protesters who have erected encampments and demanded the university divest from Israel.

Last month, GWU President Ellen Granberg announced that her administration “requested the assistance of DC Metropolitan Police to relocate an unauthorized protest encampment on the University Yard.

“The encampment, unlike some demonstrations in the past, is an unauthorized use of university space at this location and violated several university policies,” she said.

However, DC Metropolitan Police have yet to accommodate that request. Boebert, like many of her colleagues, blamed Mayor Muriel Bowser.

“It’s time that Mayor Bowser gets aggressive in keeping safety here on this campus and the surrounding perimeter,” Boebert said.

Throughout her presser, anti-Israel agitators attempted to drown out the congresswoman including at one point with chants of, “Free, free Palestine.”

“We bless Israel! Those who bless Israel shall be blessed!” Boebert shot back.

She hailed Israel as the “greatest ally” of the US in the Mideast and ripped the protesters for what she described as their ignorance on Hamas.

“I’ve seen signs here today that say ‘Queer and trans folks for a liberated Palestine,’ ‘Gays for Gaza,'” she said.

“Not only is this disgusting but let me be clear: Almost every single person in this so-called ‘liberated zone’ would be eviscerated by the very terrorists you are standing here supporting.”

At another point in the visit, Donalds faced racist attacks from one of the hecklers.

Comer, who chairs the House Oversight Committee, announced Wednesday that his panel will convene a hearing on those anti-Israel demonstrations at the campus on May 8.

“The House Oversight Committee is deeply concerned over reports indicating the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department rejected George Washington University’s request for help in removing the radical, antisemitic, and unlawful protestors,” Comer explained in a statement.
