More and more customers are leaving Ziggo due to rising prices, despite a slight increase in revenue in the first quarter of VodafoneZiggo, as reported by nu.nl. Annual tariff increases for internet, telephony, and television are having a significant impact on customer loss.

In three years, Ziggo has lost nearly 300,000 customers, with 155,000 lost in just the past year. Although VodafoneZiggo’s revenue increased by 1.6 percent in the first quarter to over 1.1 billion euros, the price hikes seem to have less and less effect on this growth.

However, the loss of customers is accelerating, with almost 790,000 fixed telephony customers and nearly 320,000 television customers leaving in the past three years. The loss of 170,000 internet customers in the same period has worsened the situation.

While Vodafone’s customer base has grown by almost 420,000 in three years, the growth now seems to be slowing, with just over 92,000 new customers in the past year.
