Defendant Romelia Flores filed a letter in this closed criminal case requesting that the Court write a letter in support of her request that the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) designate her federal sentence as concurrent with her state sentences and calculate her remaining time accordingly. The Court lacks jurisdiction to entertain Flores's request. A habeas corpus action under Section 2241 must be brought in the district in which the petitioner is confined. The Clerk is directed to open for statistical purposes a new habeas corpus actionunder 28 U.S.C. 2241 file Dkt. No. 298 in 6:17-CR-00042-H-BU-2 as the originating document in the new case, docket a copy of this order in the new habeas action, and close the new civil action on the basis of this order.
