Donald Trump, sprung from his Manhattan hush-money trial the day after being held in contempt of court for violating a gag order, spent Wednesday on the presidential campaign trail where he disparaged the economy and the court proceedings he faces, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The former president mostly stuck to issues like inflation and taxes during the first 55 minutes of his 90-minute appearance in suburban Milwaukee, before pivoting to a lengthy criticism of the four criminal indictments he faces.

He did a second rally Wednesday evening in Michigan, another battleground state.
