A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three people were injured in a horror attack at a school in Sheffield.
Police were scrambled to Birley Community College this morning following reports that a child had been injured with a sharp object.
The youngster was given medical attention following the assault and two other adults were also found to be injured.
All three were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The 17-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into police custody where he remains.

The Birley Academy posted on X, formerly Twitter: 'This morning we went into lockdown as a precaution following an incident at the school.
'This was not a decision taken lightly, but the safety of students and staff is paramount. All students and staff are safe. We are working closely with the police and will update shortly.'
An email sent to parents by headteacher Vicky Hall reads: 'There has been an incident in school this morning.
'I want to reassure you that all staff and students are safe and well. Emergency services attended immediately and are in attendance.
'Please do not attend school at the moment.'

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan said she was 'disturbed' to hear about the incident at The Birley Academy.
In a post on X she said: 'We're in touch with the school and my thoughts are with those injured and all the school community affected by this frightening situation.'
In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said: 'Officers are at the scene after responding to reports of an incident involving a sharp object at the school on Birley Lane at around 8.50am.
'Two adults were checked over at the scene after suffering minor injuries.
'A child was also checked over after being assaulted.
'A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.'
A school leaders' union described the incident as 'shocking'.
Paul Whiteman, general secretary of the NAHT school leaders' union, said: 'The reports coming out of Sheffield are shocking and very upsetting.
'Our thoughts are with everyone in the Birley school community.
'It would not be appropriate for us to comment further until further details about what has taken place are established by the appropriate authorities.'
