Jack Drury, Chris Drury’s nephew, leads Hurricanes into second round vs. Rangers

Drury set up a second-round matchup against his uncle Chris’ Rangers with a spur-of-the-moment snipe from the left dot to break a 3-3 tie and score the game-winning goal early in the third period.

2. Seth Jarvis

Playing on a revamped second line with Jordan Staal and Teuvo Teravainen, Jarvis notched two assists and had his best all-around game of the series, adding an empty-net goal late.

3. Ryan Pulock

The defenseman contributed a pair of secondary assists and was a regular offensive presence for the Islanders all night.

Key moment

Carolina’s two goals in eight seconds early in the third period killed all hope for the Islanders and ultimately ended their season.
